Sturdy had its beginnings as a software development shop. For more than a decade, we successfully built, deployed, and maintained software-as-a-service (SaaS) products. We came to realize that deploying software properly for resiliency and scalability wasn’t easy. At the same time, “moving to the cloud” became the mantra of many leading-edge companies. That’s when we had our epiphany: why not apply our deep development skills to this emerging cloud computing space? In 2012, we created a team of DevOps engineers and software developers to help customers deploy their SaaS products seamlessly in the cloud. Sturdy was born.

Tolga Tarhan
chief technology officer

Tolga serves as our chief technology officer and leads our solutions architecture team. He has 18 years of experience leading software development and DevOps teams (way before DevOps became the buzzword du jour). His cross-functional expertise across different technology areas gives him unique insight into the best approaches for building complex systems and applications. He has successfully led numerous deployments involving web-based, mobile, Internet of Things, and real-time telecommunications applications. Tolga also holds an MBA from Pepperdine University and helps customers strategize beyond technology solutions to improve their business and grow their bottom line.

Amir Kashani

Amir serves as our chief development officer, leading our software development team, with responsibility for understanding the technical consequences of business requirements and designing a solution that not only meets current goals, but anticipates future ones as well. He has more than 15 years of experience architecting, implementing and deploying software applications for a broad range of industries. His expertise spans the entire customer journey: from ideation, through architecture, development, and deployment. With countless applications successfully deployed under Amir's watch, he is able to bring his large breadth of experience to new applications and maximize customer value.

Ginger Siedschlag
operations director

Ginger serves as our operations director, leading our project management office with responsibility for overseeing all day-to-day operations. She has 17 years of experience with leading project teams to ontime deliveries, thus establishing exceptional client relationships in industries including finance, mortgage, law, software, and product design. Ginger also has a special affinity for continuous improvement, identifying and implementing process enhancements to increase productivity. She has infused her team with her fanatic approach to delighting customers, as evidenced by our significant rate of repeat-business that far exceeds the industry norm.

Jonno Wells
vp sales & marketing

Jonno oversees sales and marketing. He has over 20 years of executive leadership experience in technology companies, including overseeing sales management, operations, business development, and product management. Jonno’s experience as a growth-stage CEO deploying technology, and as a solution provider in a wide range of engagements, brings a unique perspective to our clients. Prior to joining Sturdy, Jonno and his team were one of Sturdy’s early AWS DevOps clients. He’s passionate about helping our clients achieve their business objectives with cloud architecture, deployments, management, and ongoing strategy. Jonno holds a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Colorado.
